Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 2026

This privacy policy describes how Benchline Reports ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and protects information in connection with benchlinereports.com. We keep this policy specific and current. If we add new data collection practices, this page will be updated before those practices take effect.

Overview

Benchline Reports is an independent editorial research publication. Our core activity is producing and publishing category research — not collecting or monetizing user data. We collect the minimum information required to operate the site and respond to editorial inquiries. We do not sell personal information, serve behavioral advertising, or build user profiles.

Information we collect

We collect information in two ways: automatically through hosting infrastructure, and voluntarily when you contact us or submit materials.

Voluntary information you provide

When you contact Benchline Reports by email, submit evidence, request a correction, suggest a category, or apply as a reviewer, you provide information voluntarily. This may include your name, email address, organization, and the content of your communication. We use this information only to respond to your inquiry, review your submission, and maintain a record of editorial communications.

If you subscribe to a research briefing or newsletter (when available), we collect your email address for that purpose only. We do not share email addresses with third parties for marketing purposes. You can unsubscribe at any time.

We do not collect payment information. Benchline Reports does not sell research access or process transactions directly.

Hosting and infrastructure

Benchline Reports is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Cloudflare processes all web traffic to benchlinereports.com. This means Cloudflare has access to standard server log data — including IP addresses, request paths, user agents, and timestamps — in the course of delivering the site. Cloudflare's privacy practices are governed by Cloudflare's Privacy Policy.

The Benchline research database (for the published reports library) is operated through Supabase. Database access is restricted to Benchline's editorial systems. Supabase's privacy practices are governed by their terms of service.

Site analytics

Benchline uses privacy-respecting analytics to understand which research pages are accessed and how the research library is used. Analytics data is aggregated and does not identify individual visitors. We do not use Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, or any behavioral advertising analytics platform.

No tracking cookies are set for analytics purposes. Any analytics data collected is used solely to improve the research library and site structure.

Third-party services

Benchline Reports loads typography from Google Fonts (fonts.googleapis.com and fonts.gstatic.com). When your browser requests fonts, Google receives the request including your IP address and user agent. This is governed by Google's Privacy Policy. We use preconnect hints to minimize font-related latency.

No other third-party scripts, trackers, or embedded services are currently active on benchlinereports.com.

Cookies

Benchline Reports sets cookies only for strictly necessary functions — specifically, authentication cookies for the admin interface used by the editorial team. These are not set for public visitors. See the cookie policy for full details on cookie types and duration.

Data retention

Email correspondence related to editorial inquiries, corrections, or evidence submissions is retained for the duration of the editorial relationship plus a reasonable period for recordkeeping. We do not retain data beyond what is necessary for the purpose for which it was collected.

Server log data retained by Cloudflare is subject to Cloudflare's retention practices.

Your rights

If you have provided personal information to Benchline Reports through a voluntary submission, you may request access to that information, correction of inaccurate information, or deletion where retention is no longer necessary for its original purpose.

If you are located in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, you may have additional rights under GDPR or UK GDPR, including the right to data portability and the right to object to processing. Contact us at the address below to exercise these rights.
